I support individuals, teams, and organizations in maximizing their impact, so we can all thrive in an unpredictable and complex world.
I am a licensed Scrum.org Professional Scrum Trainer™, and I have taught over 1,500 students on 5 continents. I was chosen by Ken Schwaber to be a steward of the Professional Scrum Master® curriculum in 2016, which is also when I became a Train-the-Trainer facilitator for Scrum.org.
I have completed and actively incorporate the following into my work: the 5-course Co-Active Coaching Training Program, the 5-course Organization & Relationships Systems Coaching (ORSC™) Training Program, and the 10-month Co-Active Leadership Program.
I bring over 15 years of consulting experience in retail, insurance, government, technology, banking, and energy industries.
I am also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)®.
I started my career as a Technology Project Manager. I got to experience just about every role possible based on the needs of my project teams.
I loved the interactions and growth that came with those challenges and opportunities.
Several years ago, I discovered the Manifesto for Agile Software Development and the Scrum Framework. I realized that the skills and traits that made me a great Project Manager would make me a great Scrum Master. I took the leap, and I am deeply fulfilled by where that work has led me in my personal journey.
I was drawn to the mission of Scrum.org to help people and teams solve complex problems.
Their high standards for quality and professionalism align with my personal values. I was also impressed by the incredible knowledge and generosity of the trainer community. So I decided to go through the rigorous process of becoming a Scrum.org licensed Professional Scrum Trainer™ educator.
My teaching, coaching, facilitating, and consulting experience has taught me a lot.
I know that people are motivated by doing meaningful work, having autonomy over how they do their work, and having the ability to grow and learn.
When people are able to bring their talents and skills fully to life, the possibilities are endless.
I wanted to be a better servant leader. I wanted to amplify my impact. I wanted to help people tap into what's important to them and expand their range as leaders. We need more leaders in teams, organizations, and society.
Because leadership has nothing to do with a job title.
Leadership is about taking responsibility for our impact and co-creating our world.
This led me to the Co-Active Coach Training Program where I gained a much deeper understanding of and appreciation for the power of coaching. This experience has impacted the work I do and how I show up in the world.
I am passionate about enabling high performing teams, cultivating agile mindsets, and helping people discover their capacity for growth and learning.
When we know what's most important to us and have a strong for vision for what we want, we can create alignment. Once we have alignment, we can then use execution skills and techniques to tap into our strengths and increase effectiveness, efficiency, and learning.
It's all about experimentation and continuous improvement.
