These are questions I have been pondering for quite some time. This was the inspiration for a talk I gave at the Columbus Women in Technology (CWiT) conference earlier this year. Have you ever wondered what might be possible if you apply agile values, principles, and practices to your life?
I’m talking deeper and broader than a personal kanban board.
If you haven’t pondered this question before, I ask you to go take a look at the Manifesto for Agile Software Development and the 12 underlying principles. As you read these, think about how they could relate to your life.
Agility is about dealing with complexity and unpredictability.
Agility is about growth and continuous improvement.
How do you develop your leadership skills to work more effectively with others? How do you establish deeper connections?
Agility is about delivering small bits of working functionality frequently.
How do you break down your goals and desires into small, actionable experiments that add value to your life and provide new insights?
Agility is about having a product vision and maximizing the value of the product.
What is your vision for your life? What’s important to you?
In exploring the answers to these questions for myself over the past several years, I have come to call this concept An Integrated Life.
Rather than separating or compartmentalizing parts of your life, integrate.
An integrated life is about living with intention. An integrated life is sustainable, adaptable, and balanced. Each one of us must find the right balance for ourselves, and this balance will shift over time based on what is happening in your life.
I use a framework grounded in agile values and principles, agile practices, and other complementary concepts and techniques. I shared this framework for creating an integrated life with over 80 people at the CWiT conference in September. There was a lot of resonance. Now I want to create momentum.
I will teach you this framework and coach you through the steps to design and execute YOUR best life.
Through interactive exercises, you will complete a 30-page workbook and leave with:
